Foundations of Professional Practice

This interactive workshop will cover reflective practice, which is an essential skill for pharmacists at all stages of their career, supporting continuous learning, revalidation and the ability to confidently navigate complex professional situations.

Tue 15th September 2026 (6:30pm - 8:00pm)

By strengthening reflective habits, the workshop will invite participants to enhance their self-awareness and bolster their approach to continuous professional development.  

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognise the value of reflective practice in relation to professional standards and patient-centred care  
  • Explore approaches to structured reflective practice when analysing professional experiences and dilemmas  
  • Maximise peer discussions and reflective accounts to optimise professional growth and development.  

Content / Topics:

  • The importance of reflective practice in patient safety and pharmacy teams  
  • Ways to optimise reflection during challenging situations or uncertainty   
  • Optimising reflective practice for professional growth and revalidation

As a result of attending this session, participants will strengthen their skills in critical reflection and making informed and accountable decisions in line with professional standards.
