PDA issues important communication for members with past benefits in the Boots pension scheme

Following a buy-out of the Boots Pension Scheme benefits, the PDA is urging all members who worked for Boots in or before 2010 and accrued benefits in the scheme to raise complaints under the internal dispute procedure.

Boots pharmacists’ pay settlement 2024/25

Pharmacists at Boots secured recognition for their union in 2019, and this is the fifth year of collective bargaining where, unlike other store staff, pharmacists have been able to negotiate for improved pay. This is possible because the PDA Union is independent with its own resources and infrastructure.

PDA highlights possible vote on assisted dying

The PDA is calling for UK lawmakers to include a conscience clause in bills that would legalise assisted suicide or assisted dying (AS/AD). This clause would allow pharmacists not to be under any obligation to participate in any aspect of an AS/AD process if they have an ethical objection.
