This month's June update coincides with Pride Month which is celebrated as a way of raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBT+ community along with promoting acceptance and equality. We are also using this month to celebrate our network members and the work they have done to improve the lives of LGBT+ pharmacists in the UK.

Am I fit to be a pharmacist? The online pharmacy model and fitness to practise

Over the last few years, the PDA has seen a dramatic increase in the number of pharmacists being investigated by the GPhC regarding their involvement with online pharmacies, particularly those who prescribe remotely. Significant numbers of pharmacists are appearing before Fitness to Practise Committees with more waiting in the pipeline for their case to be heard.

Support for the Medicines to Ukraine campaign

PDA members participate in the Biennial General Council Meeting of the GFTU

A delegation of PDA members and staff attended the 105th General Council Meeting (BGCM) of the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU), which was held at the federation’s Leicestershire headquarters over three days in May.

HMRC to withdraw sector specific guidance on self-employed status
